Walls of Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon as the mid-day sun brought light to the sandy floor. This slot canyon is outside of Paige Arizona and is a popular attraction in the area. The canyon is 120 feet deep and is best photographed at noon when the sun is at its highest point so this is a bit of a treat for us photographers who are rarely able to shoot at this time. Antelope Canyon has since discontinued the photography tours in 2019 and does not allow tripods in the canyon so this kind of image cannot be captured. This photo was taken on a medium format film camera at a very long exposure to best capture the light in the canyon. The film was then drum scanned to achieve the highest quality image.

Walls of Canyon X

Canyon X is a slot canyon located in Antelope Canyon area but requires a Navaho guide to take you on a Jeep to the canyons. Formal operators have since established routes into this area. The colors of Antelope Canyon X are different than the popular destinations and you will find deeper reds. I took this in the early 2000's with a medium format film camera which produces very detailed images. The image was then drum scanned to produce the very best image possible.
