The Val di Funes is an enchanting valley of South Tyrol that runs from the Valle Isarco to the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. Exploring the Villnöss Valley in Italy is an unexpected experience. Immerse yourself in places where time seems to stand still, surrounded by the silence and the panorama of the Dolomites with its rocky peaks and all around the scent of nature still intact. At the focal point of this picture is the Chiesa di Santa Maddalena or Church of Saint Mary Magdalene. St. James Church is one of the highlights of the Funes Valley. I went to this location 3 or 4 times during my trip and I always enjoyed the experience. There weren't many tourists in the area in the summer of 2021 during the COVID 19 pandemic.

A voyage over an emerald sea, past characteristic coves and beaches of snowwhite sand … this is Sardinia, an island that strikes its visitors with natural contrasts, the lights and colors of a region that boasts old traditions and a wild and pure nature. Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is a mainly mountainous region, without high peaks, with a vast and charming, yet bittersweet, natural environment. In fact, the presence of man does not seem to affect this territory; great surfaces still preserve their natural composition, luxuriant woods with even millenary trees, small desert areas and marshes inhabited by deer, wild horses and rapacious birds.

Shrine in Angola Italy

The village of Angoli belongs to the municipality of Serrastretta, in the province of Catanzaro, region Calabria. The Gaetano farm, just 15 kilometers from the sea, overlooks the plain of Lamezia Terme, one of the largest and most fertile plains in Calabria. The territory in which the company is located, characterized by a South-Southwest orientation with a hilly position, enjoys a particularly healthy climate due to the constant sea breezes that blow from the Tyrrhenian to the Ionian and vice versa, for the extraordinary brightness and for the high number of hours of sunshine. From these factors both man and plants benefit and well-being, succeeding in synthesizing greater quantities of aromas and perfumes I enjoyed my stay at the small hotel which serves as a Olive farm. At the time I was shooting HDR images to show a unique vision. Angoli is the home of my family who came to US in the early 1900's

Flowers at Seceda

The Alpe di Seceda is located on the sunny side of Val Gardena, at the foot of the Parco Naturale Cisles-Odle (nature reserve), part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage and represents an ideal base for hikes and climbing tours. From the Seceda summit you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Dolomites and of all the mountains in South Tyrol - from Ortles to Großglockner (Austria). We came to Seceda in the afternoon during the summer of 2021. The flowers were wonderful and the clouds were telling us things to come. Within about 30 minutes the rain starting to come in sheets. Luckily there is a little restaurant nearby and we were able to grab a good German beer, some schnitzel and goulash before making our way down the mountain.

At the focal point of this picture is the Chiesa di Santa Maddalena or Church of Saint Mary Magdalene. We spend the day hiking up from the valley to this pass near a hut.

Immerse yourself in places where time seems to stand still, surrounded by the silence and the panorama of the Dolomites with its rocky peaks and all around the scent of nature still intact. At the focal point of this picture is the Chiesa di Santa Maddalena or Church of Saint Mary Magdalene. It took me 7 or 8 sessions in the Funes valley before I was able to finally get this shot. As I was shooting, I could hear the sounds of cow bells clanking along the hill. A farmer passed with his flock on the path in front of me. The clouds made it difficult to capture light in the valley until suddenly the sun broke through sky and cast rolling shadows on the ground below. In an instant its energy focused upon the Church of Saint Mary. What a magical evening!

Stairs Spiaggia di Cala li Cossi

A romantic, secluded and relaxing little cove, between the pink cliffs in Northern Sardinia, on the border between Gallura and Anglona: fine sand with a multi-colored sea. I woke up early before anyone was at this beach and made my way in the dark on a trail with sheer cliffs dropping into the sea. This little cove caused the waves to settle and display its blue-green ocean.
